About Oakland, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Fayette County, Tennessee, Oakland is a Memphis suburb that has seen considerable growth in the last several years. From 2000 to 2010, the town experienced a gain of over 417%, giving it a population of 6,623 residents. This has resulted in Oakland having the most building permits issued to any Memphis suburb in 2007, including larger communities like Olive Branch and Southaven, Mississippi. Geographically the community is small, as it only consists of 3.6 square miles of total area, all of which is land.

Oakland is home to several attractions that might be of interest to area residents and visitors. Fair Oaks Golf Club is located in this community, and a tee time at this course is a great way to spend an afternoon on a comfortable fall or spring day. Shopping is a popular pastime in this community, and specialty shops include Kindred Spirit Style, Creative Aspects, and Perfect Fit Boutique.  The main festival in Oakland is the Oakland in October Festival, which is held in the historic downtown area and features a karaoke contest, BBQ contest, 5K fun run, musical entertainment, and even a pet parade.

Residents who call Oakland their home will experience a variety of weather conditions throughout the year. Winters are often quite cool and average winter temperatures fall in the low 40s. While southwestern Tennessee does see a few inches of snow each season, freezing rain and ice storms are a greater problem. These weather conditions can make traveling hazardous, so it is important that residents have an efficient and reliable heating system in order to ensure that their home stays warm if the weather keeps them in. During the summer months, severe thunderstorms become the primary danger, and an effective air conditioning system is needed to keep the hot and humid weather at bay.
